Zoho connections don't last forever. Yours can lapse if someone revokes the authorisation, changes the password on the Zoho account, removes an admin user, or simply because the token has aged out. When that happens your pay runs keep finalising in Employment Hero and the journals quietly stop arriving in Zoho Books.
There's usually nothing on screen to tell you. That's the frustrating part, and it's why this can run for weeks before anyone spots it. If your journals have stopped for no obvious reason, check this first.
Open Zoho Books and go to Accountant > Manual Journals. If the journals run up to a certain date and then stop dead, compare that date with your pay run history. Pay runs continuing past the last journal is the giveaway.
Sign in to Payroll Hub (payroll.infrahub.co in Australia, payrolluk.infrahub.co in the UK), open the settings menu, and choose the option to connect Zoho. Sign in with the Zoho account that owns your Zoho Books organisation and approve access.
Use the same Zoho organisation you connected originally. Connecting a different one will map your payroll into the wrong ledger, and untangling that is a lot more work than the reconnect.
Nothing is lost while the connection is down. The pay runs stay in Employment Hero and we can post the missing journals once you're back on. Tell us when you've reconnected and we'll re-run them.
They come through as draft journals, so you can compare them against anything you entered manually in the meantime and delete any duplicates before they touch your accounts.
